Ring Rolling

Ring Rolling

The rotary steel ring rolling method (hot-rolled rings), which boasts the most advanced technology in the field of forged steel ring production, was first implemented by GGN in 2013. Thanks to this significant investment, seamless, one-piece steel rings can be produced with a minimum outer diameter of 500 mm, a maximum outer diameter of 5,000 mm, and a height of 500 mm. Our company, which produces an average of 20 tons per day and 6,000 tons per year, can produce a wide range of products, from high- and low-carbon steels to chromium, nickel, copper, and aluminum alloys.

By subjecting the material to a bidirectional rolling process during the production process, a homogeneous distribution is achieved in the steel’s microstructure and an even structure is provided in the molecular colonies. This special process increases the durability of the steel, significantly extending its service life. As a result, high-quality and reliable steel rings are produced, capable of withstanding all kinds of harsh industrial conditions.

The main areas of application are:
• Wind tower flanges
• Gears/Bearings
• Steel rings in asphalt and concrete plants
• Large pipeline flanges
• Hub gears for construction machinery
• Valve bodies

The following steel grades are commonly used in stock:
• 42CrMo4
• S355JR – J0 – J2
• A350LF2
• 17CrNiMo6

Production capacity information is as follows:
• Minimum outer diameter: 500 mm
• Maximum outer diameter: 5000 mm
• Maximum height: 500 mm
